Anastasia's parents worked together in a local cider mill in Londonderry. When Anastasia was thirteen years old, her father left home and never returned. She never got over her father's abandonment and has spent her life attempting to fill the hole his departure made in her life. She has never felt comfortable trusting any other man not to leave her.
Anastasia had been popular in school until she began high school. She began to withdraw from her friends after her father's departure. It was not until she joined the Hoagland Institute and moved to Florida that she began to again form strong friendships.
After Anastasia joined the Hoagland Institute, she and Amanda Hammond leased a fifth floor three bedroom condo overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Cocoa Beach. Hammond was killed in the Battle of Celestra Cay in 2023, and Anastasia then split the condo with Sydney Diamond and Hayden Perry.
In 2029, Anastasia applied for a new position acting as a liaison between the research and security departments. However, all organizational restructuring was put on hold during the world's lizard hunts and the collapse of the United States of America. Anastasia was approved for her requested promotion after the Hoagland Institute relocated to Barrett Base.
