The second of four short books in Hayden Perry's story arc set in the Genetic Test Subjects Universe. Hayden, Pixie and Sydney return joined by the rest of Rapid Response Team One as they travel to the Dominican Republic for a rescue mission. It is January of 2030, five months after the events in "Canned Lightning" and society is continuing to unravel due to both the nanite virus and revelations about alien life.

All four parts of Hayden's story occur between books two and three of the main Genetic Test Subject Series.

This month we unveil the fourth of the six-part Genetic Test Subjects series.  GTS4: A New World is set two hundred years after GTS3: Dark Side of Tomorrow.  By 2275 humanity inhabits three star systems:

  • Sol, home of Terra (Earth) where humanity was born.

  • Centauri, home of humanity's central government

  • Nu Tong, with four human colonies, the Nu Tong Sector is viewed as the future of the human race.

The website has been updated on an almost daily basis.

I'm afraid the "NEW" page looks kind of old. There is actually a lot of NEW out there, but I become so caught up in making the NEW, I don't get around to sharing it.

On June 1st, we had the release of the closing chapter of the Lori Majury trilogy: The Refracted Light of Lori Majury.  While its main purpose is to close out her story arc, it also helps fill in the gap in the timeline between GTS3 and GTS4.

Now, with September, we have this year's art book.  With Lori Majury already on people's minds, I have taken the 108 images from the three Lori Majury stories and made an anime version of each with both versions sharing a page.  Enjoy The Anime-Ted Light of Lori Majury.

December is scheduled for the year's big release with GTS4: A New World.  I'm not putting any spoilers here.  Then, March will bring the second Hayden Perry story.

Recently, a lot of work has been going into refreshing each of the many, many character bio pages, making them more visually appealing, more informative, and easier to use.  I think they look pretty great on a computer.  However, when you try to cram all of that onto a phone screen, the page layout can do a lot of unexpected things.

Author’s Note on the Second Edition

When the story now known as Genetic Test Subjects, Book One: Four Horsemen (GTS1) was first conceived, it was not the beginning of a six-book story arc; it was not even a story. It began as an idea for a potential new intellectual property to be developed into a series of graphic novels by some other party – and it was called Pleiadean Test Subjects. I wrote four narrative origin stories, developed character profiles for over two hundred characters, drew up organizational charts, created numerous inter-office memos, and wrote dozens of entries for Kiana Novak’s diary. For some unknown reason (perhaps my having no idea how to proceed with a treatment for an I.T.), I began to write a narrative which attempted to cram all of those items together into a single story. When it was done, I realized two things: there was a larger story needing six books to complete, and it would be easier to publish it as it was than to try sell it to a company that created graphic novels.

One and a half years later, and with the greater story planned out and several other tie-in titles in the works and/or published, it became obvious that the mashed together nature of the original title would no longer adequately serve its purpose. Therefore, a GTS1: Second Edition has been created. While the story is intact with no plot changes, it has been rewritten into a more cohesive format. The six sets of diary entries from Kiana Novak have been turned into six narrative chapters and each of the new and existing chapters have been reformatted into the distinctive style which GTS2-6 have. The original version of GTS1 has been removed from sale and replaced by the new version which is a much more enjoyable read.

Reformatting the book into a 10" by 7" size had an unexpected result. The transition from Word document on my laptop to Amazon print book was far easier by several orders of magnitude. Going forward, all print books in the GTS universe will be sized at 10" by 7".

November 15, 2023:
One month after the launch of the website, it has grown to be close to 100 pages of information on the GTS universe. While the formatting for computer screens is where it is supposed to be, on mobile devices, it is less than pleasing. There is obviously much still to do and - at the same time, the books must keep flowing.  They are the reason the site exists after all.
