Gilbert’s father, Eric Betz (1927-2009), was a trial lawyer in Baltimore. His mother, Sheena Whitcomb (1950-2020), appeared in men’s magazines and worked as a receptionist. Gilbert had a twin brother who disappeared in 1983.

After receiving his medical degree, Gilbert was hired as a surgeon at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. He began mentoring a young med student from Howard University named Lashanda Brown. The two married in 1998. In 1999, became pregnant, but it was a difficult pregnancy. Despite vitamins and supplements, Lashanda became anemic and then bedridden. A baby girl, Audreona, was born November 21st. Fifteen months later, Lashanda passed away.

In 2003, Gilbert began dating pharmaceutical representative Brittany Rice (1979-2011). They married in 2005. In 2007, Brittany suffered back strain and began medicating herself with opiates. In 2011, she suffered a fatal overdose.

Gilbert began working out of the North Arundel Medical Center in 2008. He retained privileges at the Baltimore VA and was granted permission to work at John Hopkins.

In 2012, Gilbert married long time friend, physical therapist Wendy Stenkula (1985-present). Stenkula found that she and Audreona were always in conflict. When Gilbert accepted a position with the Hoagland Institute in Florida, the couple separated, divorcing in 2015

In 2018, Gilbert married Hoagland Institute nurse Justine Corsentino.

Gilbert Betz was visiting his daughter on Celsetra Cay in the Bahamas in 2023 when he went missing and was presumed to have been eaten by Pleiadeans.
