Grace’s father, William Day (1935-2006), was a custodian at a public elementary school. Her mother, Doris (Moore) Day (1950-2009) was a motel desk clerk. William and Doris had one other daughter, June Day (1975-2010). Grace’s parents had not planned on having a second child thirteen years after their first. June moved out when she was eighteen and Grace was five. William and Doris did not have the time, money or energy to be attentive parents. By age thirteen, Grace was drinking regularly, smoking pot and having frequent sex with numerous teenage boys. She became pregnant at thirteen and gave birth to a daughter at fourteen.

Grace was approved for genetic modification aboard the orbital platform in August 2002 two weeks before her fourteenth birthday. She was found to be six months pregnant. The fetus was also genetically modified. The pregnancy lasted nearly ten months.

Grace and her baby lived in her parent’s trailer. Doris quit her job to watch the baby, Victoria, and Grace continued her previous lifestyle. In 2004, she officially dropped out of school with an eighth-grade education. Using a fake ID, she began working in a strip club in Brookhaven. Most of what she earned went toward cocaine.

Grace moved out of the trailer in 2006. Two days later, William died of massive internal hemorrhaging. Analysis showed he had ingested a large amount of rat poison.

In late 2007, a pregnant Grace married the father of her expected child, a dry wall worker and regular at the strip club, Joseph Thompson (1977-2010). Grace continued using her mother as a baby-sitter until 2009 when her mother was found dead in her trailer, beaten and with numerous broken ribs. In 2010, Grace’s sister was found beaten to death in her apartment in Medford a few months before Grace’s husband was found with a crushed skull in Patchogue. Grace and her children were able to move into a subsidized apartment in Freeport and she danced and worked the V.I.P. room at a club in Rockville Center.

Grace received two further genetic modifications, one in 2005 and one in 2008. In 2011, it was decided not to bring her in for any further modifications due to both her lackluster results and her growing instability. There were at least four unexplained deaths of close family members which Grace was strongly suspected of being involved in. It was later determined that her daughter, Victoria, had actively murdered each of the four relatives.
