Lina’s father, Kaji Ichikawa (1965-2021), was an engineer working for Lockheed-Martin. Her mother, Hinata Ichikawa (1966-2021) was a physical therapist working in the Orlando area. Lina had three younger siblings. The parents and siblings all perished in a boating accident off the coast of Melbourne, Florida. Lina had just left her parents after having dinner with them at a Port Canaveral restaurant. Lina had no other family in the United States.
Lina maintained an A average throughout school with a perfect attendance record. She pursued no extra-curricular activities but concentrated solely on academics and had few friendships. Her only recorded hobby was reading and collecting graphic novels and manga. The only anomaly in her childhood occurred on March 25, 2007, when she was twelve. The family was riding together in the family car near the father’s place of employment when Kaji pulled over to look at an object in the sky. After a flash of blue light, the family found themselves back in the car but without Lina. The area was searched, and the police were notified of Lina’s disappearance. The parents took the other children home where they found Lina asleep on a living room sofa. The incident was never explained, and she reported having no memory of how she returned home.
In March of 2007 on the afternoon of Lina's disappearance, she and her three siblings were brought aboard the Pleiadean orbital platform for evaluation. Lina was approved for genetic modification and an existing strand of altered D.N.A. was introduced. The H.E.R. from her first enhancement was 1.708 with the highest scores in intelligence, cognitives and perception.
After earning her Masters degree, Lina was hired by the Disney Corporation to work in programming animatronics in Buena Vista, Florida. She became an early hire for the Hoagland Institute’s animatronics division when the Hoagland Institute hired out the AI staff of Disney World during the corona virus epidemic. Lina was sent back to the orbital platform for a second enhancement. Her H.E.R. was raised to 2.667. In August of 2020 was put in charge of coding and programming. In November of 2021 when it was determined that maintaining operations in Buena Vista was not beneficial and those operations were moved to Titusville and Merritt Island, Lina was put in charge of special projects, coding and began reporting directly to Cheryl Hadid.
Lena continued to maintain few personal friendships. Her interest in graphic novels continued. In 2024 she and Megan Meadows formed a friendship. Lena began writing storylines based on her co-workers which Megan illustrated. From 2024 until 2031, Lena became Megan's shadow, following her friend on her adventures. Although Megan attempted to play matchmaker for Lena, she was never able to find her friend a suitable mate. After the Hoagland Institute relocated to Barrett Base (later Barrett City), the number of available men dropped significantly and Lena began regretting her lack of a husband. She became more withdrawn and began working from her personal quarters where she crafted a cadre of A.I. personalities as companions. She continued writing stories but saw Megan rarely, preferring instead to e-mail files for their collaborations. Megan noted that the storylines Lena provided grew increasingly fantastic and less connected to reality.
