Lisa's father worked as a town librarian and her mother was a Quaker pastor. She was a voracious reader growing up and preferred books to people.
After receiving her PhD, she was hired by the Hoagland Institute and placed in charge of the Re-Education Department where she dealt both with augments who posed a danger to themselves and to society and with members of the general public who required adjustments to their memories. In this role, she often needed to partner with Doctor Georgia Beals memory unit and with the O.G.A,'s Information Containment division.
Lisa grew increasingly conflicted regarding her position running the Hoagland Institute's Re-Education Department. She quit in the mid-2070's and founded the first Quaker community on Mars.
