The MacAvoy Line is an extremely limited series. This Pauline unit is a late sixth generation model with several experimental augments being tested for future general release. On decantation, she was equipped with the beta version of Near Field Energy Conversion which was later a standard upgrade for clones planned for Nu Tong Gamma Three. She was later upgraded with Phononic Displacement and Phononic Streaming. These were found to place too heavy a demand on energy reserves and were not expanded into the general population.
She was found to have a rare "memory seepage" condition in which portions of memories of the original Pauline MacAvoy persisted. This occurred most commonly while asleep and in a dream state. A dampener was applied and the seepage was no longer reported, although the unit no longer enters a dream state.
She is the Security Chief for the colony on Gamma Three in the Nu Tong Sector. Her duties, as such, were originally quite simple. Prior to the establishment of the resort district, the most common security issues were domestic disputes at the University.
In 2275, Pauline suddenly had to deal with both the "Hamlin Incident" and the opening of the first of the resorts with brought a large number of visitors to the planet. For the first time, she was exposed to the complexities of the other human occupied worlds.
