Grace Penbrook grew up in a rundown trailer park baked in the South Texas sun. Her father, Tim Penbrook (1962-2020) was a custodian at Texas A&M University of Kingsland. Her mother, Breath Neeson (1981-2001) worked as a dancer at a Corpus Christi gentlemen’s club. She went missing when Grace was six months old and was never located.

Grace’s home life was marked by poverty. While many of her friends dropped out, she remained in school and was an average student. Her senior year was marked by two events: the high school football coach was forced to resign in a scandal, the details of which were not revealed, and a gunfight broke out at a graduation party that left four seniors dead, thirteen wounded and led to a city block being burned.

Grace was the first test subject brought to the Homestead Laboratory for genetic modification. She was initially chosen for the Cygnus Project and her modifications were targeted for this. Grace received a second augmentation at the start of her senior year of high school. Her pheromonal levels proved to be disruptive within the community.

After high school, Grace moved to the place of her birth and took a thirty-six week course to become a certified medical aid. Within days of receiving her certificate, Robert Cooper (1929-2021), majority stock holder the in the three uranium mining corporations operating in south Texas, hired her to be his personal medical aid. One month later, they were married in a large ceremony attended by corporate leaders and politicians. In January of 2021 Cooper suffered a massive heart attack. Grace inherited an estate valued at over two hundred million dollars.

Grace had her third augmentation in 2020. As humans were no longer being directly involved in the Cygnus Project, the focus of her modifications were broadened. One hundred eggs were harvested and shipped to Reticuli. Grace received her final augmentation after beginning to work at the Institute. She volunteered for full synthetic insertion during her employment intake. Doctor Novak expressed some concern over the motivation of Grace’s interest in synthetic insertion.

Grace bought a large home in Cape Canaveral and took a job at the Hoagland Institute. She met former NFL quarter-back and up and coming movie actor, Darius Nichols (1979-2040) who lived next door. They married in the spring of 2022.

Grace’s estate continued to grow as she is a major supplier of uranium around the world. It was estimated that to have exceeded one half a billion dollars by the time the United States fell. She earned $36,000 a year in her position as a lab tech.
