Dafna grew up the daughter of Professor Jacob Perlman of the York College (1936-present) and Dr Tamar Cohan, a Surgeon at Comansky Children’s Hospital (1957-present). She had a focused childhood with an eye on the future. By the time she was six she knew she would be a surgeon and every step took her toward that goal.
She received her first augmentation aboard the orbital platform just before her seventeenth birthday. Her second was also aboard the orbital platform just before her twentieth birthday. Her third was at the Homestead Air Force Base just before turning twenty-four and her fourth at the M.I.R. Facility when she was twenty-eight. Her final augmentation occurred at the M.I.R. Facility after she began working at the Hoagland Facility.
After graduation from the Yeshiva University High School for Girls, Dafna did her undergraduate work at Columbia University’s Columbia College and attended medical school at Columbia’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She did her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital.
In August of 2018, she started at the Hoagland Institute working on the medical staff at the Merritt Island Facility under Doctor Franklin Poe. Shortly after starting at the facility, she met Misty Likmore, a dancer at Ben Dover’s Booty Shakers in Cocoa who she would marry in 2020.
When the position of Head of Surgery was created in 2021, she was the only candidate considered. In 2022, when the Assistant Chief Research Officer, Charlotte Lacroix replaced Franklin Poe and became Chief Research Officer, Dafna was named to LaCroix's old position.
In July of 2022, Dafna received a few synthetic implantation using the LaCroix method.
