Tamara grew up in Atlantic City, NJ in and out of the casinos. Her father, Andrei Romanski (1969-2018) was a pit boss at The High Roller. Her mother, Maude “Sugarhole” Allen (1970-2010) was a cocktail waitress, occasional adult film actress and former call girl. Maude died from complications from AIDS when Tamara was twenty. Tamara has a younger half brother, John Timmons (1972-unknown). John became a foot soldier for Fozzio Eatoni. After Eatoni’s assassination, John left town and his whereabouts after that were unknown.

Tamara worked as a blackjack dealer at The High Rollers Casino from 2009 to 2018. From 2018 until early 2020, she worked assorted positions at the Riverboat Casino but the casino closed during the corona virus epidemic. Without work, Tamara’s drug use increased dramatically. She supplemented her unemployment checks by shoplifting.

After Bambina DeMarco allowed herself to be seen by the Institute, it was learned that Tamara was present when, to make a point in the High Rollers Casino DeMarco picked up a blackjack table and repeatedly smashed it down on Andei Romanski. After the table was splintered, she continued pummeling him with her fists until he was reduced to meat and shattered bone. With DeMarco’s mental block removed, Tamara’s memories came back leaving her with knowledge damaging to the Institute’s continued existence.

Tamara was brought to the Institute for a targeted memory wipe, but it was found that she was compatible with the program.  Had she been identified at a younger age, she might have been one of the Institute’s most important subjects.  She was given a single genetic modification and given full disclosure.  Tamara’s recorded H.E.R. is 2.167.
