Delfina is believed to have been conceived during the "Pheonix UFO Lights" incidents of March 1997.  If the date of conception is correct, she was born early after undergoing rapid development during the third trimester.  Delfina's birth weight was recorded at 10 pounds four ounces.  Her mother, who was seventeen at Defina's birth and reported to have been under 100 pounds prior to pregnancy, had a difficult pregnancy and underwent an emergency cesarian, which had lasting ill health effects for her.  Delfina enjoyed exception health in her childhood and was the largest child in her class during each year of her schooling.

Delfina's father, Alajandro Salinas, worked in construction.  When Delfina was nine, he was killed during the attempted carjacking of his pickup truck.  Rosito Quevedo was unable to support herself and Delfina on her salary as a secretary and moved in with the family of her brother Edwardo in 2008.  

Due to Delfina's size and exceptional health, operatives of the Pleiadeans identified her as a potential candidate for genetic augmentation and she was brought aboard the Orbital Platform in November of 2010.  She was approved for the aggressive genetic leveling used at that time however, during the initial installation of modified genetic structure, foreign material was found in her DNA, later believed to be of Cygno origin.  (This was prior to the Reticulan-Cygni Treaty of Earth year 2012.)   

In 2011, when Delfina was 13, her 18-year-old cousin sexually assaulted her.  Delfina defended herself breaking three of her cousin's ribs, his arm and shoulder and damaged his testicles which would later both need to be removed.  Despite tensions between Delfina, Rosito and Edwardo's family, they continued living in the same household.  One year later, a drunken Edwardo assaulted Delfina and she punched him causing him to lose his right eye.  Rosito and Delfina were moved into Maricopa County public housing.  Rosito, whose health was still badly compromised from her pregnancy with Delfina was now drinking heavily

Delfina took advantage of alternative programs within the school system and graduated at sixteen and then filed for emancipation.  While working full time at a truck stop off of I-10, she earned an Associate's Degree in community health.  Now eighteen, she began working at the strip club next to the truck stop where her earnings vastly increased.  The club own strongly urged her to perform girl/girl shows on stage.  She found them to be much preferable to the fumbled groping she received from men.  While working at the club, she earned her nursing degree.  She also dated one of the members of the WNBA team who frequented the club. 

Delfina found she was earning far more at the club than she could working as a nurse.  She continued at the club for one year after earning her BSN when she felt the steady pull to travel to Florida due to the implanted Pleiadean homing beacon.  Once she arrived at the Hoagland Institute, she was hired as a lab-tech.
