Yolanda grew up in Miami in a small cinderblock duplex with Ficus hedges and wedged in between countless other small cinderblock duplexes. Her father, Tito Sanchez (1971-2026), was a truck driver who moved to Miami from California, had three children with Yolanda’s mother, and moved back to California. Yolanda has had no contact with him since 2004. Yolanda’s mother, Jessica Castillo (1979-2048) cleans condos along the beach twelve hours a day. There are two older brothers: Little Tito (L.T.) and Julio.
Yolanda was one of the early test subjects from the Homestead lab. She was evaluated and given her first genetic modification in September of 2014. Yolanda’s H.E.R. was recorded as 1.5. She was not given a second genetic modification until February 2017. Her H.E.R. increased to 2.563. She was given a subliminal prompt to return to the Homestead Air Base after graduation.
One girl in a crowd of hundreds, Yolanda found she could skip a class without being noticed and did so often. She scored well on tests and made a point of knowing what days not to skip. Her brothers always had bags of pot and Yolanda spent much of her time smoking in her room and sketching pictures. She graduated with an A average near the top of her class although few of her classmates remembered her. One month after graduating, she traveled to Titusville and was hired as a security guard at the front desk of the Hoagland Institute.
After Hoagland Institute move to Barrett Base, she resigned and moved back to Miami where she found employment as a uniformed guard for a bank.
