Joelie Tauminde's mother had been the first Royal consort of Queen Stephanie in the Court of Nu Tong Gamma Three.  She had been discarded when the Queen tired of her, emigrating to the Isaac colony of Nu Tong Alpha Five.  One year after her exile, she spent a sizable portion of her severance to have a child cloned from her DNA to ease her loneliness.  Jolie was decanted in 2209 with accelerant used bring past the infant stage.  In 2221, Cora Tauminde married a prominent judge in the Isaac judiciary and lost interest in Joelie. 

Joelie became an active member of the local Mother Maker Temple just prior to completing her education.  She worked for one of the many importers in the city until she had saved up enough to open a fruit shop in the market district.

In 2248, she married local dress maker Morgonna Star.
