Christine’s father, Seth Toomey (1936-2005) was a truck driver whose career included several regional companies. Her mother, Her mother, Beth Nelson (1945-2020) was an office administrator at a food distributor.  Christine Toomey dated Sean Quinn in high school. They lived on the same street and both were genetically augmented.  Their son Andrew was born in 1992 while Sean was a sophomore and Christine a freshman. Sean and Christine married one year later. Animosities arose between the Quinn and Toomey families.

Christine and Sean also had two daughters, Sharon and Elizabeth.   All three children were evaluated on the Orbital Platform with , Andrew and Sharon deemed suitable for augmentation.  Andrew passed away on Sharon's fifteenth birthday from FCM. After graduating from business school and a short career in professional wrestling, Sharon was activated by the Hoagland Institute for their security department.  The youngest daughter, Elizabeth, lives in Los Angeles and is married to Timothy Bruder.

In 2009, Sean Quinn confessed to an affair with his assistant, Melissa Teague.  Christine and Sean divorced.  He then married Teague who later gave birth to Casey Quinn.
