Mei Loi is the daughter of Ma Tsen (1954-present) and Nina Li Tang (1961-present) who emigrated to Los Angeles from Belize City in 1993. Their families had both originally come from Shanghai. In Belize, they owned a successful market. In Los Angeles, they operated an import business. Mei Loi was an only child.

Mei Loi was sent to the Los Angeles School District’s Valley Academy of arts and Sciences. Although her teachers described her as quiet and reserved, other students were drawn to her. She was class president each year.

Mei Loi was brought aboard the orbital platform in the spring of 2005 and approved for genetic modification. Her initial H.E.R. was 1.288. A second augmentation occurred aboard the orbital platform in the spring of 2008. Her H.E.R. had increased to 1.679. The charisma and agility scores were both above expectations.

Mei Loi enrolled in the Veterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California studying computer science. Her graduate work was in computer networking.

A third augmentation was performed on the orbital platform in 2011. Mei Loi’s H.E.R. increased to 2.242 with scores in pheromonal and agility both pushing beyond the normal range. Her fourth augmentation was done at the Homestead Air Force Base in the summer of 2014. Mei Loi’s H.E.R. was recorded at 2.904. Her cognitive and strength scores were both above expectations and her charisma and agility were each beyond the normal range

While working on her master’s degree, Cheryl met fellow student, Cheryl Hadid (TS#2005050943). The two married in 2016. After finishing her degree, Mei Loi took a research position at Information Sciences Institute at the Veterbi School.

A fifth augmentation at the Homestead Air Force Base in 2017 raised Mei Loi’s H.E.R. to 3.629. Scores in charisma and agility each now measured the top of scale. Physical strength measured well above expectations.

In December of 2018, she and her wife were both hired by the Hoagland Institute and relocated to central Florida. Mei Loi joined Hoagland’s security division on Strike Team 3, while Cheryl was placed in charge of building an artificial intelligence framework at the Titusville complex.

Mei Loi received a sixth modification at the Merritt Island Research Facility which raised her H.E,R, to 4.417 and brought her to the top of the scale in charisma, strength and agility and near the top in intelligence, cognitive and speed.
