In 2206, the woman known as Demi Leigh Tunzi was found in a single use stasis chamber outside the Akashic Temple on Mars when she was a toddler.  "Demi Leigh Tunzi" was handwritten on a scrap of paper with a stamp from a Terra to Mars shuttle flight.  The passenger manifest from that flight offered no clues as to her parentage or to who had left her outside the Temple.  She had no interweb receiver implant.   

The priestesses of the Akashic Temple raised her as one of their own.  In addition, the Chairman of the Martain Economic Council, Byron Davis, who had previously been raised at the Temple, still spent much of his free time studying at the temple.  He took great interest in the child and oversaw her early education.

In 2225, Sister Tunzi, by that time the most promising acolyte in the order, was tasked with the day to oversight of Project Delphi.  In 2256, after rising through the Akashic Order, she was named to replace Dutchess Popov as the order's High Priestess.  In 2268, the Council of Cultural and Religious Entities on Mayworld selected Tunzi to replace Lotusflower Resplendence as their non-voting representative to the Majestic Council where her nihilistic beliefs have made her a wildcard in Council debates.
