Jessica's father was a test subject employed by the Hoagland Institute's security department.  He had received three augmentations and it was estimated that at the time of her birth her human enhancement rating was over 2.000.  

Officially, no genetic augmentations were performed on Jessica, but there was speculation that the Pleiadean Ailrinni experimented on her prior to the Pleiadeans were defeated in 2023.  She contracted the DeMarco Nanite Virus in 2026 and the nanites did not mesh well with her DNA.  She displayed low level telekinesis, early onset puberty, and overly sensitive nerve endings which caused pain.  She spent most of her time at the Institute hospital until the facility was evacuated in 2031 during the 'lizard hunts'. 

She eventually became the lead shuttle mechanic at Barrett Base.
