Kyra Eames purposefully kept a low profile while working at the Hoagland Institute. Her husband, Joshua Jacobie, was not augmented and he never set foot on Institute property or met any institute personnel during their marriage.

Eames currently lives with professional basketball player Melanie Martinez of the HGBA's Mayworld Matrons in Mayworld’s Redfern District. The two had discussed having a daughter grown, but when Eames was placed on the council, they delayed their plans.
She has yet to take a strong position on any issue and is often the swing vote in close decisions.
