While working toward his M.B.A. degree, Kasif Gupta made the acquaintance of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi who took a liking to him.  He began working for the Pahlavi family in 2000 and was placed in charge of the family's finances in 2004.  He spent a great deal of time at the Pahlavi household and met friend of the family Delanie Holbrook.

In 2010, the Crown Prince accused Gupta of embezzling over $24,000,000.  A series of lawsuits followed which were never resolved.  Gupta relocated to Washington, DC and began taking on a series of private clients.  He and Delanie Holbrook, who was now a senior at the Nation Intelligence University in Washington, DC, attended the same party. The two became lovers and were married in 2012. This caused a falling out between Delanie and the Pahlavi’s.

Gupta skillfully embezzled many millions of dollars from his clients  before the societal collapse of the 2030's.
