Hayden was abandoned at the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton, California as an infant. It was never determined who her biological parents were or who left her at the arts center.  She spent the next five years in an orphanage in Walnut Creek, California before being placed with a foster family back in Pleasanton.  Over the next thirteen years, she lived with six different foster families.  She was reported as being combative, undisciplined and disrespectful.  Social Services was able to keep her in the city of Pleasanton so she could stay in the same school system.  

Hayden joined the army after high school and completed two three-year contracts.  She was promoted to corporal twice and once to sergeant but left the army as a private.  Repeated discipline problems were listed on her file.  She was hired by the Hoagland Institute immediately at the completion of her military contract.

Hayden was a surviving member of the Hoagland Security agents to fight in the Battle of Celestra Cay.  After Celestra Cay, Hayden shared a three bedroom condo overlooking the ocean beach in Cocoa Beach, Florida with Anastasia "Pixie" Zelensky and Sydney Diamond.
