Martin was the second of four children growing up in an upper middle class home in Cherry Hill, NJ. His father, Frederick Nixon (1955-2033), was vice president, acquisitions at a pharmaceutical firm in Philadelphia. His mother, Monique Washington (1965-2049), was a patent attorney in private practice. His sister, Domica (1992-?) was the Chief Financial Officer of the Hoagland Institute. The younger siblings are twins, Joni and Janice (1996-?) who operated a small video game publishing firm in Newark, NJ.
The four Nixon children were taken to the orbital platform for testing in February of 2002. All four were approved for genetic modification even though they were all below standard threshold age for genetic test subjects. Martin was a solid student with a strong interest in Medicine.
In 2023, Martin left his private practice and joined the Hoagland Institute working in the Institute's onsite medical facility. He relocated to Barrett Base on Luna with the Institute during the lizard hunts of 2030.
