Thalia grew up in Dallas, Texas. She was an only child. Her parents, both of whom had emigrated from Viet Nam in their infancy, owned and operated a large and successful catering business.

When she was fifteen, Thalia was waiting tables at a university event her family was catering, she met graduate student Georgia Beals. The two maintained a romantic relationship for nearly a year.  Thalia's parents were distressed by this, but their distrust of the police and Beals' skillful intimidation of them kept them from putting a stop to it. 

As part of her university experiments, Beals implanted romantic images of powerful sexual ecstasy into Thalia's mind.  The relationship ended when Beals moved to Homestead, Florida to continue her memory experiments at the Hoagland Institute laboratory at the Homestead Air Force Base.  Thalia's memories persisted after Beals' departure, and she was unable to develop any interest in boys.  She found herself frequenting lesbian clubs looking to recapture something she could not find.

After hearing Beals speak of Thalia, the lead human geneticist at the base, Doctor Jacqueline Martins, recommended her to the Pleiadeans for augmentation.  At the time, the Pleiadean known as Ailrinni was using select subjects for the AL17 program.  Thalia's endocrine system was reformatted to produce powerful psychedelic chemicals.

While in a bar during the 2025 holiday season, Thalia encountered Beals, who was visiting family in Dallas.  The two rekindled their relationship and Thalia went to Florida with Beals.  The two lived together in Melbourne, Florida.  The two married in 2029.  Beals' work now centered on using chemicals to create artificial memories indistinguishable from reality.  Thalia was regularly used to test compounds, and her mind became a psychedelic fog of euphoric sexual imagery. 

During the lizard hunts of 2030, Thalia fled from what she imaging to be an angry mob and missed the evacuation to Barrett Base.  Early in 2031, she was located in Venice, California and Hayden Perry was sent to retrieve her.  While in a confused state aboard the shuttle to Barrett, Thalia killed the pilot and damaged the shuttle's computers leaving herself and Perry in a capsule flooded with her pheromones adrift in space for several days.

Barrett Base, under the Rowland Crater on Luna grew into a city and leading research center.  Thalia and Beals became regulars at the local dance clubs where the sought out young graduate students who had recently arrived for their academic work.
