Winter and her sister grew up in the mansion that their great-grandfather, cannery billionaire Dinsmore Delevinge I, had built.  The cannery had gone out of business when their father was a child and the mansion, besides being the family home, had become a seasonally operated inn.  The family remained at the center of society in the communities of Desert Island, Maine.

Winter was very competitive with her older sister Autumn.  She had her first genetic augmentation when she was twelve and her sister was fourteen.  She quickly became taller, stronger and, according to many, smarter and prettier than her sister.  by the time they were seventeen and fifteen, Autumn made a point to keep her boyfriends away from Winter.  

In June of 2017, the family threw Winter a high school graduation party at the marina.  Autumn came home from Amhurst where she had just completed her sophomore year in open studies, and other family members had come from across New England.  A fire broke out in the banquet house from which no one escaped.  A police report, later contested, stated that the doors had been chained.  Neither Winter nor Autumn's bodies were recovered.     

Winter survived the fire.  She spent the next few years living in hiding in the family mansion which the courts held in escrow.  Rumors spread across the island saying that house was haunted.  Occasionally, teenagers snuck into the Delevinge Mansion.  Several died in what the sheriff's office classified as suicides.

After the Pleiadean known as Alrinni al-Mahrid Phi Pop and her scientists broke with their planetary leader and left the Hoagland Institute, she used the genetics lab she had provided Bambina DeMarco to give Winter a full synthetic implantation of nanites to greatly increase her abilities.  After this, Winter became an accomplished international assassin under the name "Nightshade".  In December of 2029, she assassinated American President Thomas Mosher who proved to be a Draconian which launched the lizard hunts as Americans looked for other aliens within their leaders, and plunging the world into a period of chaos.

In 2041, Winter was murdered in her home in the hills outside of Faro, Portugal by Olena "Oaklyn" Bayer.
