Kenneth Kaye grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When he graduated from high school, he was eighteen years old, and his father told him it was time to grow up and move out. Kenneth found there was nothing keeping him in Fort Lauderdale. He moved to Orlando to be near an aunt who was nice to him as well as Disney World's animatronics.
Kenneth found a job working as a salesclerk in a Stereo Hut store off International Drive. A few months after he began his job the most beautiful woman he had ever seen entered the store looking for very specific electronic components. He personally found the parts she needed by searching at several commercial suppliers. The woman, Willow West, began seeking him out regularly for advice with electronic microphones and speakers.
Willow convinced Kenneth to quit his job and start his own business setting up and maintaining computer networks, which he did in October 1996. For months, Willow was his only customer. She loaned him money on several occasions telling him that she was investing in the future.
In March of 1997, Kenneth learned that Willow West was pregnant. He immediately offered to marry her and raise her child as his own. She agreed and they were married in June of that year. Dianna Kaye was born in September 1997. The marriage was never consummated.
After marrying Willow, Kenneth received contracts from several large companies he had never heard of each putting him on retainer and none ever calling upon him to do any work. Kenneth raised Dianna as Willow travelled extensively for her job as a security analyst. He knew that what it was that she did, she was not a security analyst. He knew that she took lovers regularly. He never asked her about her work or her lovers; he adored her.
In December of 2013, Willow returned home from a job only to immediately receive an emergency call. She left an item in his work safe before leaving. Two hours later a woman broke into the house. She broke three of Kenneth's vertebrae, collapsed one of his lungs and caused a brain hemorrhage with significant brain swelling. After being contacted by the police, Willow rushed home. She developed a newfound devotion to Kenneth staying by his side day and night.
After months of rehabilitation, Kenneth was able to slowly navigate short distances on the first floor of their home. He only regained limited speech was had great difficulty expressing himself. In September, Kenneth suffered a fatal stroke.
